The picture on the right and the one at the bottom show two of the many boats who use the town's lakeffont facilities every week-end during the summer. Also many hundreds of spectators just come to watch and enjoy a family picnic in Palmer Memorial Park adjoining the lakefront. - Swimming used to be very popular here but since the erection of the two swimming pools, at Birdseye Center and Poplar Park, very little of this popular past time is partaken at the lakefront. Fishing is also very popular in Lake Scugog and although we haven't seen as many big ones as we used to, many are still caught by ardent fishermen from the area. a Shires wh .i 5 --Staff Photos The regular Euchre was held at the Hall Port Perry on Satur- day, July 24th.
