Camp Adelaide is an Area Camp situ- ated on Black Lake and is maintained by the Guides in Central Area. Mrs. Dorothy Nelson, Port Perry is the Administrator at the camp this summer and re- | ports a busy summer in spite of the weather. There will be an award too for the best dressed couple in old time cos- tume. The boat and its Uxbridge owner Jim Martin, were spotted drifting some two miles off the | Lake Ontario shoreline at Thickson's Point. Firemen of the Oshawa De- partment went out into the lake in a rescue launch to haul the becalmed boat ashore. He was in his 48th year. Carlyle moved to Port Perry from Oshawa 14 years ago, and | was an employee of General Motors. Last year's fine weather drew a record attend- ance to this annual event, with over 7500 people. While Dad and the other cattle fanciers act as expelts dround the livestock stalls, Mom and the aupts can browse through the Women's Building, admiring the multi- tude of home cooking, sewing, crafts, flowers and art. The children will be busy at the swings and rides, as the Allan Midway will again be on the grounds.
