A GREENBANK NEW SI: The Church Service on Sun- day morning was in charge of a member of the -Gideon Bible Society and the organist was Miss Cathy Cookman. Next Sunday, Mr. Larry Johnson of Sunderland will be the speaker. Oa Sunday, August 15, the Annual Decoration Service was held at Bethel Cemetery with a large crowd in attendance. Rev. H- Buntain of Port Perry gave a very fine address and the singing was led by members of our choir. The graves were beautifully decorated and much credit is due to the caretaker, Mr. Ernest Till for the well-kept , appearance of the grounds. Miss Baker of Toronto visited her mother and the McCaig family during the week-end. Last Saturday, John Leask and George Beaton attended Fenelon Falls Fair where John was Holstein judge. Sympathy is extended to the daughter, son and other relat- ves of Mr Bert Love whose sudden edath occurred at Revel- stoke, B.C. while on a holiday trip. Bert was in his 60th year was born* and spent the 'early days of his life in this com- munity. Several years ago he moved to Oshawa where his wife Georgina Love, passed away recently. Recent visitors at the Roy Leask home were Mrs. Henry Leask of Myrtle Station, Mrs. Marion Mundinger, Richard and Karin of Toronto, Mr. Homer Schroter of 'Bobcaygeon, and Miss Mary-Jo Doris of Peter- borough. Congratulations to Linda Stone, Brian Harris and Dean Smith who were successful in passing their Grade 13 Examin- ations, . Mr. and Mrs. Neil Hunter and Miss Patricia attended the wed- ding of Miss Kay Gough of Ag- incourt last Saturday. Mr. Cecil Leask visited friends in Sunderland and Midland last week. Mr. and Mrs. Rae Dusty, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Dusty, Denise, Ian and Dean spent Friday in Newmarket with Mrs. Allan Thompson. Sympathy of the community is extended to Mrs. Milton Ry- nard whose mother, Mrs. Ken- nedy passed away recently. Mr. Ivan Dusty of California is visiting relatives in this area. The Scott Junior Calf Club met at the Neil Hunter home on Monday evening of this week with John Leask as leader. Miss Jo-Anne Harris spent last week with friends at Bath. Mrs. Anderson has returned home after spending a week in Port Perry Hospital due to a heart, attack. We are sorry how- ever to report that Mrs. Pearl Phoenix is still a patient in the Uxbridge Hospital. Mrs. M- H.
