Manchester Guide Enjoys Camp Life Last Wednesday, 3 local Girl Guides arrived at Camp Kee- waydin, 23 mi. from Goderich on Lake Huron. Guides Dianne Hall, Port Perry, Sharon Larm- er, Nestleton and Marsha Mul- holland, Manchester, are obvi ously enjoying their 10 day stay at this beautiful Guide Camp on the shores of Lake Huron. Letter received Monday from Goderich-- "Dear Mom and Dad: Well, here I am at camp. So far it's just great. Love meet- ing all the new girls. When we - arrived yesterday we started to work immediately - together, we were not separated. We got a new girl, named Trudy Wilson. She claims she's from the North Pole. She's a real good head and works hard too. We have it real soft with wooden floors to sleep on and gadget wood supplied. The lake is nice but there's a bit of un- dertow, and if you swim under- water near the buoys you get pulled out beyond them. Don't worry -- there's a lifeguard there. I think she can swim. There have only been three casualties so far. Someone sighted a snake, Dianne fell down a hill and my knife is real sharp. Write soon, must go now, ; Love -- Marsha." (Although the 38rd casualty isn't mentioned, Mom and Dad presume it has something to do with the new, sharp knife!"
