. . UE ARS aA) SIBERIA STRAY 6 -- PORT PERRY STAR, Thursday, Sept. 30th, 1965 _ OBITUARIES -- ALBERT W. WRIGHT I life long resident of the Blackstock area, Albert W. Wright died Sept. 23, 1965 at his home in the village follow- ing a lengthy illness. He was in his 77th year. A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Wright the deceased farmed until five years ago when he rétired to Blackstock. He was well known as the breeder of thoroughbred Shorthorn Cattle. Mr. Wright was a member of Blackstock United Church and of the Loyal Orange Lodge. He is survived by his wife, the former Louise Spinks and a daughter Mrs. Fred Trewin (Jean) Blackstock. He was predeceased by a son Percy. Also surviving are three sis- ters Mrs. N .Holmes (Hattie) Oshawa; Mrs. R. Stinson (Ro- setta) Bowmanville! Mrs. Percy Van Camp (Elva); "also two brothers Osmond and Carl all of Blackstock and two grand- children Lloyd and Earle Tre- win. Funeral service was held from the McDermott-Panabaker Funeral Home Sept. 25. Rev. R. B. Harrison, Cannington conducted the service. Inter- ment was in Cadmus Union Cemetery. Pallbearers were Messrs. Mervyn Graham, Norman Green Joe Bradburn, Edgar Horn, Will Forder, Wilbert Werry. Flower bearers were Karl Bradburn, Bob Brown, Earl Trewin, Dr. D. Bilbey, Dalton Dorrell, Frank Upham. The many beautiful floral tri- butes, donations to heart fund and large atendance at the fun- eral and calling at the Funeral Home Friday, spoke of the high esteem in which deceased was held. FRANK R. RAINES Peterborough Sept. 13, 1965-- Funeral Service was held to-day for Frank R. Raines, age 96, formerly of 302 Boswell Ave, who died Friday, Sept. 10th. An Oddfellow memorial ser- vice was held at the Comstocks Funeral Home Sunday at 7.30 p.m. Mr Raines had been a member of the 1.0.O.F. Peter- borough Lodge 111, for 70 yrs. The funeral service was con- ducted by the Rev. Alex Calder at the funeral home. Burial was in Little Lake Cemetery. Born and educated in Port Perry, Mr. Raines was the son of the late Joseph Raines and the forprer Sarah Jane Lund, A harpess maker, he was em. ployed by B. F. Ackerman Com- pany, harness makers, and mov. ed to Peterborough with the firm, He was an elder of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Peterbor- ough for many years, and a member of the Church Board of Managers. Mr. Raines is survived by one brother, Fred of Port Perry. He was predeceased by two sisters Minnie and Mrs. Maud Carno- chan and a brother Richard. He was also predeceased by three wives, the former Esther Louise Duncan, Kate Ross, and Annie Elizabeth Ingram.
