Dear Sir: After our recent and first <& < Norman Tennyson, Milkman, Caesarea, Ont. Robert Wheeler, G.M. Worker Burketon Three from the above will join Mr. Harvey Graham; Neil Mal- colm and Donald Frew, who still have a one-year term to serve. Others nominated for the Board, of Education were Mr. Dalton Dorrell who had served for about 17 years and Mr, David Wilson & Walter Wright who both had 10 years or more service, all declined the request to join the Board. The Editor taste of winter our streets in Port Perry were in a sad state and stayed that way for too long a period before anything was done to remedy this situa- tion. Forty-eight hours after this snow-fall some of the streets in the village still had not been plowed, and this is something that should not be. Queen St., the main artery of the village had only a one way track in a number of places making driv- ing very hazardous especially with the school children walking on the road at the same time that cars were proceeding up and down the hill. The follow- ing day this was still the case. What I would like to know; is this--what we are to expect all winter? This was not a severe storm. If the streets of the village could not be cleared for forty-eight hours due to this small storm, what will it be like if we have a heavy snow fall? What have our council done or what are they going to do to remedy this situation, Yours truly, Stephen Kandel," M.D, "SHOP EARLY AVOID THE TOWNSHIP ELECT ED (SAM) OYLER Reeve For 1966-67 Your vote and influence is solicited for the office of Reeve for the years 1966 - 67.
