Reeve Oyler expressed thanks to the Reach Area School Board for the gift of the furnace for the Manchester Hall. This fur- nace was formerly in the one- room school at Prospect. The old cast-iron wood-burner which has heated the. old Hall for so many years has been cleaned up and painted. Several antique dealers have shown interest in it, but, for the present it will remain in the Hall pending a possible County Museum being opened. In his summary of the year's operations, Reeve Oyler report- ed on County Council's activi- ties & the Township's improve- ment on various municipal roads. He made the suggestion, which was later supported by Mr. Crosier, that the incoming Council give thought to the pur- chase of a gravel pit for Town- ship needs.
