Robertson presided over an at- tendance of 36 members and 3 visitors. The assist. Sec'y Mrs. Stan Ploughman read the min- utes and correspondence, in the absence of Mrs. Har6ld Honey, The roll call, "An interesting book I have read", was well answered,--very few paid the fine. Brief one minute reports were presented by the following con- veners--Mrs. Gord. Shunk, Mrs. J. H Hardy and Mrs. Nels. Wil- liams. Mrs. Maxwell Bassant reported on the sick. and Miss Audrey Kent read an article from Canadian Consumers Mrs. Geo. Bell reported on tickets for the Doll Draw, and announ- ced the draw will be held Sat, Dec. 11th. She also gave a brief resumé of the "Quilt" course held recently, under the supervision of Mrs. Florence Smith, from Home Ec. Service, Dept. of Agr. Mrs. Geo. Barthau requested anyone desiring Commemorative Coffee Spoons for Christmas, must place the order with her at once. Correspondence was read and dealt with. Hand books are now available from the Sec'y, Mrs. H. Honey. Any member not having a Hand book may contact the Sec'y or pick one up at the Jan. meeting. Jan. 5th, was accept- ed, and Mrs. Sam Cawker offer- ed to be responsible for the pro- gramme, A Christmas Cheer committee was appointed, namely -- Mrs. Max. Bassant, Mrs. L. Honey and Mrs. O Edwards. Mrs." G. Shunk presided for the following programme. The motto -- "Honour Christmas in Your heart, and keep it through the Year", was responded to by Mrs. Fred Raines. Mrs. Paul Diamond entertained with a hu- morous reading, "The Groom Wore Black", A Christmas Contest was conducted by Mrs. Nels Reader, with Mrs. Mabel Carol singing was enjoyed, with Mrs. Gordon Morrow ac- companying.
