Clements This week we exented Sea- son's Greetings to the manage- mnt and staff of the Port Perry Star and to all our friends a- mong their subscribers. Christmas activities are keep- ing our folk so well employed that they have little time for visiting. This week's special was the Christmas tree which took place on Friday evening. As has been the custom since consolidation of the public schools, the various S. S. class- es were each responsible for a share of the program. This re- sults in an entertainment of great variety & interest. We're sorry we cannot mention all the names, so, to be fair we'll men- tion none. Our performers ran- ged in age from 8 yrs. up and all did their parts very well in- ded. In due time Santa arrived and distributed gifts and bags of candy. Poor Santa must be having a busy season. We were saddened to hear of the rather sudden death on Sun- day morning of Mrs. Albert Dance. Mr. Dance will be re- membered as the last station- master at Seagrave station. For many years the couple have lived in Colborne and until re- cently have visited here each year. . Some members of the town- ship council are disturbed be- cause they are being blamed for the omissions in the voter's list this year. Of course the coun- cil is not directly responsible for preparing the lists and should not have to take the blame for others' mistakes. However looking from the other side of the fence, we can't help but realize that the council is our only elected body in the municipal field and perhaps they just could or should exert. some influence.
