Santa Clause Visits Port Perry \ 5 } Santa Claus arrived in Port Perry right on schedule last Satur- day. Shown above shaking hands with a young admirer, his annual visit, sponsored by the Port Perry Chamber of Com- merce was a huge success. 25 draws for $10.00 each were made, and the lucky winners are listed elsewhere in this edition. Oddfellows H A very pleasant evening was spent at the Oddfellow's Hall on Saturday, December 18th. The regular twice monthly eu- chre was enjoyed by all who at- tended. Rebekah's are respon- sible for these entertaining evenings. Scugog group was in charge with Vice Grand Mrs. V. Aldred as convener. The crowd was beyond expectations, being such a busy time for all. Peo- ple attended from Oshawa, Uti- ca and surrounding districts. The euchres are held in the lodge room upstairs for the win- ter months, and is very warm & comfortable. There will not be! the usual euchre on Jan. 1st, it being New Year's. So won't you come and join us for a game of cards on Saturday, January 15 at 8.30 p.m. Charge is 50c. and | a dainty lunch served. It is al very friendly get-together.
