Dated at Port Perry, Ontario, this 19th day of April A.D. 1966. HARRIS, HARRIS & WALLACE, Solicitors, Port Perry, Ont. RED CROSS] IS ALWAYS THERE WITHYOUR HELP May 5 LETTER TO THE EDITOR April 12, 19686 Dear Sir: While down at the lakefront I observed some young people fishing, I was aghast at the methods used. For example: cutting tails off fish and throw- ing them back crippled and helpless into the water. They do not realise that this is the same cruely to fish as if they were to have both legs ampu- tated. The horror of cruelty to all types of wildlife should be instilled in the minds of these children by the parents who should be blamed becauge child- ren have a lack of understand- ing. They should also be taught that if mother fish carrying eggs are not returned to the water intact they will not be able to enjoy the same fun of fishing next year. Is Lake Scugog to become completely depleted of fish be- cause of children who do not understand ?
