Maureen expressed appreciation for the lovely useful gifts. The hostess served a dainty lunch which added to the social hour. Recent company with Mr. & Mrs, F. Gibson were Mr. and Mrs. P. The scripture lesson was read by Mrs, D. Ashton and prayer by Rev, H. Buntain, The offering was received and minutes were read includ- ing thank you notes from Mrs. P. Barrie; Mrs. W. Knight and Mrs. J. Leask. Two readings "Follow Me", and "Two pieces of Wood", were given by Mrs. D. Ashton. Mrs. Ray Graham rendered solo "Alone", A reading "When men follow- ed from afar off", by Mrs. R. Richardson, Rev. H. Buntain was in charge of the topic and brought an inspiring Easter message. a The meeting closed with the singing of Hymn 220 'The Day of Resurrection", Mr. and Mrs. Donald Purdy. of Toronto, spent the week-end at the home of Mr, and Mrs. H. Ashton. Mrs. Cecil Viears spent the week-end with her parents in Montreal. Mr, and Mrs. Frank Mitchell. of Deep River, were week-end visitors in the village. Mr. and Mrs. O. Bennett, of Whitby, were Sunday guests of Mrs. M. Sparks. Mrs. Wm, MecAndless, and family, of Don Mills, spent the Easter holiday week with Mr. and Mrs, Edgar Heron. Mr. James Doble, of Toronto spent the week-end with his mother Mrs. H. Doble. Mrs, E. Heron and Mrs. M. Sparks attended the W.M.S. Thank Offering at Pickering on Thursday evening.
