The regular monthly meeting was held in the Port Perry Community Hospital on Mon- day, April 18th at 2.30 p.m. with an attendance of eighteen mem- bers and president Mrs. M. B. Dymond in the chair. The meeting opened with the Lord's Prayer repeated in unison after which Mrs. B. Wanamaker read the minutes of the last meeting which were adopted as read. Mrs, D. Crozier gave the trea- surer's report and announced a balance on hand of over $1000. Mrs. Cornish turned in another $6.00 from Diminshing Teas. It was voted to pay all outstanding bills. A regional meeting of the Hospital Auxiliary will be held in Oshawa on Tuesday, May 17. Lunch will be served and it is hoped that several members from Port Perry will attend. MPs. Manns reported that! eight pairs of bootees had been given out and demand may soon exceed supply. Mrs, Agnes | Garvey kindly handed in an-| other two pairs. Mrs. Plough- man teported that she and Mrs. Pearl Gerrow had distributed | Easter gifts to the patients who were delighted with the potted | hyacinth's provided by Eleanor's | Florist Shop. Beautiful potted | lilies were also donated by Eleanor to decorate the office and were warmly appreciated. | Each member brought a gift | for the Wishing Well, sponsored by Mrs, Geo, Smith. Next month members will donate | gifts for the "Touch & Take'. table. Mrs. Patterson displayed a! beautiful hand painted child's quilt worked by members of her Handicraft Guild. The quilt has been given to the Hospital Auxiliary and will be on display , at the Spring Fair. Mis. Goode reported that 100 handbills had been provided by the Star office giving details about the Spring Fair and these will be distrib- | uted by members in Port Perry and surrounding districts. Fifteen booths are being or- ganized and there will be the added attraction of a fortune-' teller. Members of organiza- tions are requested to note that they may donate to ANY BOOTH and it is hoped that possible. Afternoon tea will be served in St, John's Presbyter- ian Church by ladies of the Presbyterian and Anglican Churches. Mrs. Manns entertained mem- bers with an interesting "Guess the Soap" competition and the meeting was then adjourned. The next meeting of the Auxili- ary will be held on Monday, May 16th. Mrs. S.
