Payne were in Sudbury attending the Golden Wedding of Mr. and Mrs, Peter Marcotte. Mr. Payne is a nephew of Mr. and Mrs. 'Marcotte. Two couples of our own com- munity Mr, and Mrs, Norm. Hurst and Mr. and Mrs. Orville ~'Boe both reached their 40th -an- niversaries on June 15th. Plans for the Boe celebration had to be set aside for the time being because of Orville's illness. The Hurst celebration took the form of a family picnic at the home of their son Bruce in Hampton on Sunday. Mr, and Mrs. Hurst have a family of 6 sons and 2 daughters, so along with in- laws, grand-children, aunts and 'uncles there were about 100 present. Representing . Sea- grave were:-- Mr. and Mrs, Hurst, Caroline and Gene, Mr. and Mrs, Don Hurst and family, Mr, and Mrs. J. Foote and fa- mily and the Bertrands, On Sat. Mr. and Mrs, Belair attended the marriage of Mr. Gary Henderson and Miss Bar- bara Nichols in Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Scarborough, Mr, and Mrs. Earle Bryant, Port Perry were also guests, - . Several families came home for Fathers Day. We haven't a complete record by any means but know that the Moons, Butts , and. Boes were visiting their homes. Mr, and Mrs; Butt also enter- tained Mrs, Ada Bradley and her son Mr, Oscar Bradley of Toronto, Mrs. Bradley is again able to walk after a hip frac- ture suffered during the winter. Mrs, Oscar Bradley spent the afternoon with her mother Mrs. Nott of Port Perry. On Tuesday Mr, and Mrs, Butt visited their brother Mr. Howard Butt a patient in Provi- dence Hospital, Toronto, but cannot report any improvement in his condition, Word was received on Satur- day that Mrs, Fleeta Sleep of Lindsay had been hit by a car and injured. The extent of her injuries is not known at time of writing. Our congratulations this week go to Vladimir Hatschinski M.D. who is the nephew of Mr. & Mrs. Andre Mostowitsch and who spent his first months in Canada near here, Miss Shirley Ann Crosier ar- rived home from the far north- west on Thursday. She expects to stay several weeks and then --It sounds like wedding bells. The Prince Albert Centennial Services attracted Mr. and Mrs, B. Wanamaker on Sunday. They were helping Mr, Earle Martyn | entertain visitors for the occa- sion. gi Last Sunday, June 12th, the Sonya friends presented Messrs. Mac and Allistar Cameron and their sister with a chrome set and lamp, on the eve of their departure for their new home in Little Britain, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Jackman of Stittsville spent Sunday with Mrs, V, Tait. Mr. and Mrs, Jack MacTag- gart have been making up for lost time this week.
