Rick Beare pitch- ed 5 and one-third innings with Reg. Manns taking over for the balance of the seven innings. Port "dropped behind in the second, were behind three to no- thing in the fifth when they got their lone run; which Cha- than got back in the sixth. The difference in the game was men on base as Port left the bases loaded on two occa- sions and were outhit 8 to 5. In the second game Alder- wood was the opposition and they came out on top 5 to 3. Reg. Manns went all the way for Port as he got off to a bad start giving up two runs in the first inning. Pete Beare got drive to left field which the fielder had trouble with and he 'scampered" around the bases. Hits by Smith, Wannamaker & Stephens gave Port Perry the lead 3 to 2. one back when he hit a solid. Ballard Lumber Midgets Play In Willowdale Tourn. Port Perry' s Midget 0.A. S.A. up the game on a Home Run. In the fifth with two out an infield error then a well hit ball to centre field gave Alderwood five to three game. These boys have no league to play in this year and had only two games played before attend- experience gained at Willow- up before O.A.S.A. playoffs in August these boys will be tough to beat on any given day. Coach Gerry Hunter has a good ball team and with the help of Bill Harper and tha good sponsor Ballard Lumber; Port Perry has once again en- tered a fine Midget team.
