An individual contract norm- ally covers the head of a family and all his dependants, These distinctive OMSIP con- tracts, which spell out in detail the terms -and extent of the Plan's coverage and benefits, are now being mailed out to subscribers, SUBSCRIBER STATISTICS A sample survey of some 4,000 OMSIP application forms selected at random shows that about _46 per cent applying for enrolment in the Plan will, be entitled to OMSIP coverage and benefits at no cost to themselves whatsoever. *~ Another 10 per cent of the applications were from Ontario residents entitled to partial premium assistance. The remaining 44 per cent of persons applying for enrolment in the Plan will be paying the full cost of the established pre- miums, Almost 40 per cent of the per- sons covered are under 50 years of age. . Officials of the Medical Ser- vices Insurance Division moted that the survey was limited in scope and that the final break- down of enrolment statistics 'may well be a different story.
