Bruce for a shower in hon- our of Miss Betty Roulston' of Toronto, who is being married on July 23rd. The home of Mr, and Mrs. Don Crosier was the setting for two showers this week, both for their sister Shirley Ann, Thurs. day was the day for the family gathering and shower for which 5b relatives turned up. Then on Saturday evening 30 of their neighbours from the Saintfield side assembled for still another shower. Shirley Ann will be leaving for the west this week. All this reminds us that on July 20th (Wed,) there will be another community shower in the S.S. room, This time the couple involved will be Mr. Jim Cookson and his bride-to-be Miss Sylvia Lawrence, Master Paul Lake of Toronto is spending part of his holidays with his grand-parents Mr. and Mrs. A, Moon. Another young fellow, but not so lucky is David Imrie, | who will be spending most of his holidays on crutches, David fell while helping with the hay and broke his leg, That keeps up our count of lame folks. He was in his 76th year. 'Born on Scugog Island, the deceased lived all his life in Port Perry and district. Prior to his retirement in 1961 Mr, Collins was employed by Pedlar People of Oshawa. He was a member of the Rod and Gun Club. Mr. Collins is survived by his 'wife the former Edith Druean, The funeral service was held at the McDermott - Panabaker Funeral Home, Port Perry at -- 3.30 p.m., June 28th. Interment was in Pine Grove Cemetary, Prince Albert. Rev. Alec Rice conducted the service.
