Wednesday, Aug. 17th was General Motors Gold Cup com- petition. Sixty-four rinks were .entered in this competition and a local team, composed of Ar~ thur Cox, Fred DeNure, Irving Boyd and Roy Honey were three game winners but on account | of very close games and small. scores had to settle for fifth prize. Each member was very pleas ed to receive an automatic elec- tric grill and waffle baker, On Saturday competing at Cannington Arthur and Alma Cox were three game winners and brought home second prize. Two teams from Port Perry played at Uxbridge the same day and Roy Honey assisted by Mrs. H. Willoughby and Milton Tanton were prize winners. Good bowling Port Perry and keep going.
