Reesor, underwent eye surgery at St, Michael's Hospital, Toronto, She is do- ing favourably. Recent viistors at the Mans- | field home, Queen Street, Port Perry were Mr, and Mrs, BE. C MacArthur, their son Ronald, & Miss Wilhelmina van Daalen of Tilburg Holland. Mr. MacArthur and Mr. Mansfield both served with the First Canadian Army Troop Workshop in Europe in 1944-45. While in Tilburg: they visited the van Daalen home and made lasting friends, Since both, unknown to the other have kept in touch with the van Daalen family, The evening was spent rem- iniscing and catching up on events of almost 21 years. All agreed that the next meeting should be in much less than 20 years. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Me- "Laughlin 'and sons Billie and Jimmie of 95 Union Ave, ar- rived home from a 11 day trip to Largo Florida, visiting Mrs. McLaughlin's sister Mrs. R. Beale and husband of Largo Florida, had a wonderful time. Went to Tarpon Spring, Sea fishing, Sunken Garden, Bush Gardens, .the New Skyway Bridge. Many wonderful Scen- ery, left Thursday, Aug. 11 for Philadelphia to visit Mr. Mec- Laughlin's sisters and brother. The weather was hot! hot! Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Short and - family and Mrs. Albert Short have enjoyed a holiday travell- Banff, and home through the U.S.A. While in Manitoba they 1945 | visited relatives with Mr. and Mrs. in Edwin. Mrs. the daughter of Mrs, Short. Miss Marion Conlin attended the Graham-Conlin wedding in Etobicoke and later at Seaway Towers for the reception.
