Mrs. Grant Butt re- ceived word that her father had and Mrs. Butt immediately left for the Maritimes so Mrs. Edgar Butt was called to Whitby to care for her two grandchildren. The funeral was held-on Friday and Mr. and Mrs. Butt arrived back on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nobbs were guests at the Watts-Tap- scott wedding in Markham on Saturday afternoon. The bride is a niece of Mrs. Nobbs. Mr. Mansel Sleep was ad- mitted to Port Perry Hospital on Sunday morning. At time of writing there have been mo reports on his condition. . Some of our ladies are on the move. Mrs. Neil Wanamaker has given up her position in Oshawa and is this week start- ing in at Peel's Hatcheries Ltd. After this week Miss. Maureen Tobin will be found at the of- fice of Tripp Construction Ltd. Church Anniversary services were held on Sunday morning with a good attendance. The U.C.W. Rally for this corner of Lindsay Presbytery will be held on Monday, Oct. 3 in our church. There will be morning and afternoon sessions -starting at 9.30-a.m.-and--1.30 p.m, Dinner will be served at noon by the Seagrave ladies. In the afternoon Mrs. Mecln- tyre, Uxbridge, will address the group and- speak of the visit she and her husband, Dr. John McIntyre had to India.
