Pugh acted hostess for the meeting of the G.N.S. Club. Her home was complimented with gay poinsettias, twirling stream- ers, saucy bows which lent a typical Yuletide welcome for the Christmas party. Being as each member was responsible to invite a friend the president Mrs. Pugh voiced a warm wel- come to all the ladies. Mrs. J. Brain temporarily acted as secretary. Treasurer Mrs. B. Heayn gave a statement plus money resulting from the dance which is not completely filed as yet. Emphasis were stressed re- garding adopted boy's birthday gift. It was learned his Christ- mas gift had been sent quite some time ago. A few brief business matters were discussed then Mizpah Benediction closed the meeting. Mrs. M. Christie and Mrs. J. Moore convened a few rounds of Court Whist, as a result high prize to Mrs. K. Dyke, low count to Mrs. Roy A. Hope. At this time all were invited to the dining-room where each picked up delicious salad foods and other good eats. The com- mittee in charge went "all out". Prince Albert News of favourite carols accompanied by Mrs. B. Snelgrove. The program comprised of short plays, recitations, chorus groups, even solo by wee tots, plus guitar selections, which all was heartily enjoyed. At the last lap of the evening a pleasant high- light took place when the "chairman requested Mrs. Ben Smith come forth. He reviewed that Mrs. Smith had recently retired as an efficient teacher of girls class for many years, and enthusiastic worker in many phases of the S. S,, therefore as a result of her noticeable endeavours she was presented with a lovely piece of crystal for which surprised Mrs. Smith or as we say "Flor- ence" graciously voiced appre- ciation.
