CAIRNS ry Enjoys Flight To New Zealand So many friends asked me to tell them about my trip to New Zealand I have asked the Edi- tor of the Port Perry Star, to include this letter in his next issue, » My flight was scheduled for December seventh but fog de- layed all flights on that day so I 'left Toronto Airport a week later, December 14th. Mrs. W, T. Harris and Mrs. A. Brock took me to Malton and I left at 4.25 pm. We went C.P. Air and were scheduled to fly direct to Honolulu but head- winds over the North Western United States forced us to pro- ceed to Vancouver, There we stayed for forty minutes and arrived at Honolulu 21% hours late. The officers were WRAL --they rushed me through the boarding gate and five minutes after I was seated (in First Class instead of Economy, for which I had paid) the plane started, We came down at Figi for twenty minutes and from Figi our speed was fast and when we grounded at Auckland we had made up the lost time, arriving almost on schedulé. At Honolulu the - C.P. Air passengers transferred to Air New Zealand Flight 301 but my suitcase was overlooked and I| arrived in Auckland with a small handbag and an unneces- There again the of- ficials were helpful and I am sure I will have my luggage very soon.
