Armstrong & Tommy spent a day in Oshawa recently and had lunch with Mr. & Mrs. Howard Gourlie. Mr. and Mrs. Howard, Gourlie entertained their family on both Christmas and New Year's day. On Christmas Monday, Mr. & Mrs. Howard Ashton-entertain- ed their family, also Mr. Clifton Gibson, Mr. Gordon Ashton of Whitby, Mr. and Mrs, Barry Bushell and daughters of Peter-| borough have also been back & forth and the two girls spent most of Christmas holiday with Grandma and Grandpa Ashton. Sat., Dec. 24th-- Pee Wee All Stars defeated Cartwright 10 to 4 in Bantam House League. McMillan defeated Cochrane 8 to 0 in Novice. McKee was defeated by Cartwright 9-to 3. Mon., Dec. 26th-- ' McCoy defeated Irwine.7 to 5. with Roland Skinner scoring 7 goals for McCoy and Taylor and Van Camp getting 2 each and Sleeman scoring for Irwine in Pee Wee. Wed., Dec. 28th-- Cartwright with Prosser gett- ing 4 and Krockenstoel with 1 defeated Geer 5 to 0. Sat.,, Dec. 31st-- A : Cartwright defeated Heayn 11 to 1. Wolfe got 3, McLaugh- lin and Lee got 2 each and Kir- patrick, Asselstine, Nesbit got 1 each for Cartwright--while Hall scored for Heayn in the Bantam House Leagué. °° McCartney defeated Pee Wee All Stars 5 to 4 with a goal by Bronson with 3 seconds left to go. Now - that Christmas & New Year's is past all the boys will really be settling down to hockey and a new schedule for the best part of the season starts this week. Teenagers and adults please note we desperately need peo- ple to seriously take up referee- ing. We need referees, who will do OMHA games at home: and away. You don't have to know . all the rules just be able to ponse we will run a school for referees again under the in- structions of Don Cochrane.
