Uxbridge came to Port deter- mined to avenge the 4-0 Port|' scored at their last meeting. The first period was all Ux- bridge with fast skating and good passing. The Bulldozers stayed with them but three de- fensive errors cost Port the 1st three goals, In the second : | period Port began to settle down, moving the puck around and taking the play to Uxbridge but still Uxbridge controlled the game, not letting up at all. Last period and last hope for Port with a 6-1 score against them saw a complete change for the Bulldozers. With every line changed the boys came to life and looking their old selves. Moving D., McNenly from his regular line to team up with G. Geer and L. Middleton paid off. They picked up two quick goals , to narrow the score. The ef- fort I'm sorry to say came too late in the game, a case of not enough push at the start. Still no disgrace for the Buldozers taking on "B" series teams is | good experience for the forthcoming play-offs. Scoring for Port First Period-- End of First 3-0 for Uxbridge Second Period-- J. Let's see you all back again at the next game. * * * Port Perry 4 Port Hope 5 It was was. one of those games where the Buldozers couldn't buy a goal, out-shooting Port Hope 54 to 22. It makes the score sound wrong and the goaltender great. But it was a case of being in too close and firing straight at the pads, although there were some labelled to score, a last minute skate or stiok would appear to turn them away. 1 still feel the boys were leaving their ffort too late, also there is work needed on the defence. Once the pressure is put on-in our own end the boys seen to fall apart. We_are sorry to-say we have lost a great defence, and lately a power play forward in Chic Carnegie.
