Regular reports were received and Secretary read the corres: pondence amongst which was several notes of appreciation for remembrances received at Christmas by sick and shut-ins, also a Christmas and New Year greeting letter from Miss Wray, Home Economist. Mrs. Ralph Larmer was asked to carry on with 4-H club work apd "was also appointed W.L representa. tive.to the Recreational Board. to secure plans and prices for renovating the stage of Com: munity Hall. Several ideas for Centennial year projects were discussed and other items of business dealt with. Meeting was turn- ed over to the group leader Mrs. Kenneth Samells. The group being in charge of His- torical Research, prepared their flavour. The roll call--"What I intend to do for the Centennial" was well answered. In a well thought out paper on Confederation Mrs. Russel Mountjoy gave an excellent re- view of the joining of the ten provinces to form the Dominion of Canada. Mrs. Ray Bradburn read the minutes of the Council of Cart- wright meeting of January 1867, which proved very interesting and humorous. Voting. was done by yea's and ney's. Port Perry Midgets again Tomchishin, Miller and Prosser with 1 each gave Cartwright an 8 to 0 score over Irvine. Top Pee Wee House League scores are Skinner with 23 pts, Prosser with 17 pts., Kroeken- stoel with 13, Willis with 10, and Felsted with 9 points. BANTAM took West Rouge to the tune of Sat, Jan: 7th-- 10-0 at home. Bill Taylor play- McCartney defeated Cart-]ed well in goal in both games wright 7 to 1. The McCartney boys monopolized on the scor- ing with 'Bill getting four goals and Danny scoring three goals. Kirpatrick scored Cart's only goal. In the second game the Pee Wee All Stars defeated Heayn 16 to 1. Rick Evans scored 7 goals, Cochrane and McCoy got two & Tomchishin, Ron Evans, Tennyson, Brain, Burns and Campbell scored one each while McKeen scored Heayn's goal. NOVICE Cochrane's won its first game against McKee by a score of 4 to 2. Sean Taylor scored-3 and Gord Scott got one for the vic- tors. McKeen and Bourgeois scored for the team coached by Ralph Ballard and Mert McKee. McMillan won over Cartwright by an identical score of the 1st Novice game. Boneshanker and against 'this club and a fine team effort by the rest of the boys. Port Perry Novice beat Pick- ering 16-0.
