Ontario Agricultural College Has Correspondence Course The increasing complexity of life has made cotninuing educa-. tion through life a "must" for most people. WHITBY DETACHM ENT Last week was unusually quiet for Whitby O.P.P. in terms of accidents reported. There were 15 accidents investigated, in which 3 persons were in- jured, none seriously and 6 dri- vers were charged. Officers patrolled a' total of vehicles were checked with 75 drivers charged and 54 warned. Several vehicles were consider- ed unsafe and were removed from the road, until they: are put in safe running order. The other predominant offences were speeding, disobey stop General occurrences were about normal with 40 received. 28 miscellaneous calls included abandoned autos, blood escorts and requests to locate persons, not reported missing. Other occurrences included 4 Insecure Premises, 4 Liquor Offences & 2 Impaired Drivers arrested. There has been recent legis- lation regarding the operation of motorcycles which became effective January 1st, 1967. After the 31st of March, 1967, no person shall operate a motor- '¢yele unless he has passed a motorcycle operator's examina- tion and been issued a driver's| licence bearing an endorsement authorizing the operation of a motorcycle. .
