Exchange * Wedding Vows In Yuletide Baskets of red poinsettia and green pine made an attractive setting -in-Sacred Heart Church; Uxbridge on December 24th, 1966 for the marriage of Mar- garet Emily Ruth Couves, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ar thur William Couves, Green: bank to Mr. James Cornelius Murphy, son of Mr. and- Mrs. John Wallace Murphy, R.R. 5, Bolton. The Reverend A. Lee offici ated at the double ring cere: mony. The organist was the bride's sister, Mrs. Danny Ree: sor of Agincourt, who also ac companied the soloist. Her hus: band, Mr. Danny Reesor who sang '"O Perfect Love, The Lord's Prayer, Ava Maria, Jesu, Joy of Man's Desire, The Wed: ding Prayer", also a duet "O Holy Night" was sung by Mr. and Mrs. Reesor, prior to the wedding ceremony. The bride, escorted down the aisle by her father, wore a candled white, floor - length gown of peau de soie with a lace bodice. The gown featured lily-point sleeves, empire wasit- line and an A line skirt. To complete this charming gown a luxurious long lace bordered train gently draped from her shoulders. The elbow length scalloped bridal veil was caught to her pearl crown. This ex- quisite ensemble was designed and made by the bride. She carried a cascade of red roses, Ib. Mr. Frank Murphy of Windsor acted as best man for his bro- ther while Mr. Hugh Dobson, brother-in-law of the bride, and Mr. John Fitzpatrick of Castle- more acted as ushers. The groom and his attendants were attired in tuxedos. The reception was held in the Greenbank Church hall. Greeting the guests were Mr, and Mrs. Couves, assisted by Mr. and Mrs. Murphy. The bride's mother was wearing a tourquoise brockade dress with The groom's mother was attired in wore corsages of Brampton where the bride 'tea a chantilly lace dress over eral in a body. Miss Donna Thornton, teacher friend of the bride, held a miscellaneous shower at her home. - Guests present were teachers and friends. A Crystal shower was held at Mrs. Phil Sweet's comprising of relatives of the bride's mother. Friends and relatives of the Murphy family held a miscel- laneous shower for the bride- to-be at the home of Mrs. M. Byrne, Bolton. Greenbank friends held a mis- cellaneous shower at the bride's parents' home. A presentation was made to fhe bride & groom by the staff of the Central Public School in ET i pr re Prior to his marriage the groom was presented with a toaster by -the staff of Air Canada. Friends and relatives of the groom held a party to honour him on his forthcoming marri- age at which time they present- ed him with a purse. After the rehearsal, the bri- dal party were entertained to a dinner by the bride's parents. Rama Dep.-Reeve Passes In Whitby Last week, Ontario County couricillors ¢ observed a minute of silence Wednesday morning in memory of Deputy-Reeve Owen Morris of Rama Town- ship. Mr. Morris died late on Tuesday night following a heart attack. He attended Tuesday's inaugural session of the Ontario County council. He had been deputy reeve at Rama for the last two years.
