é (Too late for last week) Over one hundred from our community attended the benefit Turkey Dinner in St. Paul's Presbyterian Church Oshawa on Saturday evening, April 15th with all proceeds for the Build- ing Fund of our Church. Mrs. Wm. Hopkins was host- ess for the meeting of the La- dies Bible Class on Wednesday evening, April 12th with an at- tendance of twenty-five. Mr. W. Davis and Mrs. John Hopkins were in charge of the program and each gave a short account of the life of some of our famous hymn writers. ASHBURN NEWS Burn's Fellowship group met in the Centennial Centre on Sunday evening, April 16th when Mr. LeRoy Soper, of Stouffville was present and de- livered an inspiring message. Innes, a one time re- sident of Manchester, passed away at the Eade Nursing Home on Saturday, April 22nd. Mrs. Innes made many friends while in business here and was re- vered by all who knew her. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved ones.
