While most peo- ple knew Mr. Colwell was ill, few had realized that his con- dition was really serious. The funeral on Saturday was from Pinkham Funeral Home in Sun- derland with interment in Fos. ter Memorial Cemetery. We extend sympathy to his brother, Mr. William Colwell and other relatives. At a neighbouring farm, Mr. J. S. MacFarlane had a fall and injured his eye with a cane he happened to be carrying. He was taken to Port Perry Hos- pital for a few days but return- ed home on Sunday. Mr. Reed MacFarlane and Miss Lorna Dure from Toronto were with Mrs. MacFarlane and attended the funeral on Satur- day as did other former neigh- bours, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Or- chard also of Toronto. At time of writing this news Mrs. O. Tait is quite seriously --jll.-and -has been .taken .to..Osh-. awa General Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Herb Zolitz re- turned last week from their trip to Europe and report a wonderful time except for some sea sickness. Roy Scott's luck keeps good so it didn't rain for his sale on May 24th and it was quite suce: essful. The Scotts had already moved the furniture they in. tended to keep, so just drove down to the village after the sale, and that was that. On Friday Mr. and Mrs. B, Wanamaker attended the Grad- uation Exercises on the campus of Waterloo University to see their nephew, Mr. Bruce Mart yn of Prince Albert receive his diploma. We have been told to take another look at the picture of the Centennial Choir as Debbie Maschke and 'Mary Jane Cros- ier were among the singers. Sorry we missed you last week 'girls. But there's a way to improve the improve- ments: modernize your home wiring first. Up-to-date wiring lets you make the most of the new room you're building, or the old ohe you're re-styling. It lets you place your lighting wherever you like, choose, and use as many appliances as you need without popping fuses. In fact, you'll notice pleasant changes all through your home. Modern wiring can improve the efficiency of your light- nie King of Toronto and Mr. | family at dinner. _ There will be no church ser- EE I RA III RE a vice in Seagrave for the next three Sundays on account of special services elsewhere.
