Our minister Rev. A. Rice delivered his mess- age, "Growing Years", proved suitable for the afternoon. Un- fortunately a large number were absent from our own choir. Offering gathered by Mr. W. Remember next Sunday wor- Obituary SAMUEL PATRICK FARMER The death occurred suddenly as the result of an accident of Samuel Patrick Farmer, on Fri- day, April 28th, 1967. A son of Archie Farmer and the late Elizabeth Luke, the de- ceased was born at Timmins, Ontario on October 23, 1940. A resident of Port Perry for --19 years; where Pat received his education at Port Perry Public and High School. He was an employee of 1.G.A. for eight years. Pat was married in the United Church on June 6, 1964 to Barbara Coates. The deceased is survived by his wife and his son Timothy Todd. Also surviving are his father Archie Farmer, twin sister Pa- tricia (Mrs. Alan Fulford), four brothers James, Robert, Ted and William. Tr tee Mr. ship at 9.45 and S. School at 11 o'clock. We are all sorry to learn Mr, Clayton Love is a patient in St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, where we wish him better health. Sincere congratulations to one of our young men Mr. Bruce Martyn who was successful in his final year in earning a de- gree in Bachelor of Mathematics from the Univeristy of Water- loo. Attending the colourful and impressive Convocation for the Confernment of degrees at Waterloo last Friday included his father Mr. Earl Martyn and daughter Mr. and Mrs. John Lake, Oakwood; Mr. and Mrs. B. Wanamaker of Seagrave, Mr. and Mrs. A. Martyn, Mr. and Mrs. L. Beacock. Tuesday evening a group of interested folk of our village and area gathered in our va- cant public school house to dis- cuss the offer from-the Reach Township Area School Board of turning the school into a Com- munity Centre. Many pros and cons were discussed, as a result majority of folk were in favour of accepting the building for this purpose. The uew chairman is Mr. Merv. Pugh, his chmmit- C. Graham, Mr. W. Heayn, Mr. J. Heayn and Mr. F. Canning and now they hope everyone co-operates in their endeavours. Mrs. Grant Hunter opened her home fo rthe May meeting of the U.C.W. Devotion was provided by Mrs. H.
