The remainder of the ev- ening was spent in playing euchre, The Cartwright Squirts played against Archer Motors ball team of Port Perry in Nestleton Tuesday evening and won by 15-12. On Thurs- day they played in Port Perry when the score was 29-20 in favour of the Squirts. The Motors are now eliminated, so Cartwright meet Good: wood in the semi-finals in Nestleton Tuesday and in Goodwood on Thursday. Messrs. Larry Mathison & Neil Malcolm are the coaches for Squirts. The Pee Wees have had quite a successful season so far, only loosing 2 games and are in second place in the league Saturday at Janetville Centennial they played with Lindsay Drugists but lost 84. Monday (Aug. 21) they will commence the play offs with Scugog Island team at Scu- BOB... Dunsmoor and Judy Felstead were the instigators for a get-to-gether of the young people of the village and surrounding area. This was held in the Township Hall. The Shackromes provided music for dancing. Lunch was served and a pleasant evening spent. Joanne Ballingall, Beth Dennis McLaughlin enter- tained Grade 13 students and teachers to a corn roast on Saturday night. A sort of "good bye" party, before so many will be going to differ- ent points and different studies shortly. We are pleased to hear so many Gr. 13 students really did well. Glad to report Mr. John Venning home from Hospital and hope he may have a speedy convalenscence. Sorry to hear Mrs. J. For- der had the misfortune of breaking a hip. We hope she also may steadily im- prove. Master Dean Stanley un- derwent a tonsilectomy last Monday in Port Perry. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Van Camp and Mr. and Mrs. Wal- lace Marlow visited Friday evening at the Comstock Funeral Home, Millbrook where their elderly uncle, Mr. Richard Matchett was resting. --Mr.-and--Mrs.-- Keith -John- ston and girls, Belleville spent the week-end with his mother Mrs. J.
