Dymond, Ontario Minister of Heal. th informs the Star that the Ontario Hospital Ser- vices Commission has ap- proved capital financial assistance to the Commun- ity Memorial Hospital Pro- fect. This approval is, of course subject to review after tenders are received. The plan approved shows --33 active beds, 10 chronic care beds, 1 labour and 2 recovery beds and 6 nur- sery bassinets. "Of the approved costs, the Government of Ont- ario through the Hospital Services Commission will provide 2/3, estimated to amount to $667,899,33. The local board is respon- sible for the remaining 1/3 of the capital cost. In addition the Board must provide the land and the complete cost of any items' not approved for cost sharing. It is ex- 'pected that the cost of financing the County grant will require a sub- stantial sum. In conclusion the min. ister says: "With this' approval 'it is hoped the New Hospital Project will go forward speedily and smoothly.
