Pee Wees won the Ontario (0.A.S.A) Pee Wee "B" Title on Satur- day afternoon when they de- feated Smithville 6 - 5. Laurie Williams pitched the win for I.G.A. as he walk- ed only one man, struck out 11 batters and gave up only b scattered hits. Smithville catcher Armstrong came up with two of the hits driving in two runs. The L.G.A. boys champions. were guilty of two errors. Port scored two runs in the first inning when Cal Cochrane walked, Steve Co- chrane doubled and Bill Jef- fery singled both in. Ron Redman got on via an error and scored on Robt. Taylor's double in the second. In the third inning. The Port Perry Fire Dept. were on hand with the fire truck to give the boys a ride through town. A very big thrill for these fine young ball players. To all the boys congratula- tions. Some of these boys were members of the 1965 Squirt Championship team. For Coach Don Cochrane a big reward for six years of hard work and a lot of miles on the road. Coaches Clare Nightingale and Doug McMil- lan have also done a terrific job with these boys and were very proud of the boys.
