The ONO Proficiency prizes were awarded to Lin. da Mountjoy, and Lorraine Turner (tied) and Glenn Mal colm in grade nine. The Neil Malcolm prizes were re- ¥ceived by Eleanor Wright and Barry Malcolm. In grade nine, Lorraine Turner and Linda Mountjoy; in grade fen, Bob Mairs and Bruce Fish; in grade eleven, Karen Campbell & Bonnie Malcolm. (in grade twelve Glenn Bon- netta and Sheila Sharpe; in grade thirteen, Marguerite Clement & Elizabeth' Thomp- son were given the English prizes sponsored by the Cart- wright School Board. Nancy dHorrell in grade thirteen won the Susan Saywell History prize. Linda Mountjoy in grade nine, Bruce Fish in grade ten, Bonnie Malcolm in grade eleven, Beth John- son in grade twelve, and Nancy Dorrell in grade thir- teen achieved the French and Latin awards. Prizes for Ma thematics and Science were received by Lorraine Turner in grade nine, Bruce Fish in grade ten, Bonnie Malcolm in ® grade eleven, Beth Johnson in grade twelve, and Brian Mountjoy in grade thirteen. The Home Economics and Industrial Arts prizes were won by Carol Werry, Jim Clement and Bob Swain in grade nine; Carol Wotten & Bruce Fish in grade ten; Bonnie Malcolm, Nancy Frew, Joan Wotten, and Ivan Brad- burn in grades eleven and twelve. Sheila Tomchishin won the award for special a®hievement in grade thir- Swain. was the student entering Teacher's College with the highest standing in grade thirteen, sponsored by Peter Keuning. The Dr. J. A. Mec- Arthur Memorial award went to Judy Cochrane. For the C.H.S. Field Day Lynda Thompson in the juniors, Cheryl McCoy, in the intermediates, Denise Malcolm in the seniors, Don ald 'Wright in the juniors, Bob Kyte in the intermediate and Ron Martyn in the sen- ior, were the champions, Lynda Thompson for the Junior girls, Donald Wright for the junior boys, and Bob Kyte for the intermediate boys won at the Bi-School Field Day with Millbrook High School. The Valedic- tory address was given by Judy Cochrane now at York University, Toronto. The Glee Club sang 'People' and 'A Place to Stand.) Mr. Ashton led tne choir and Bonnie Malcolm acccmpanied them. Both boys and girls put on gymnastics demonstrations. They were trained by Mr. Fletcher. There was also a one act play called 'How to Propose'.
