Opening day for, purchas- ing the blue-on-white 1968 passenger, dual purpose and metoreycle plates at all of the 280 issuing offices across the province was Friday, December 1. Expiry date for 1967 markers will be Thurs- day, February 29, giving mo- torists an extra dav of grace because it's Leap Year. Department of Transport officials are again appealing to motorists' common sense in urging them to buy their plates carly.
