Obituary MRS. JESSIE |. McKENZIE Following a lengthy sick- ness, the death occurred on Tuesday, at the Oshawa Gen- eral Hospital, of Mrs. Jessie Isabelle McKenzie, Conces- sion 7, East Whitby Town- ship. She was in her 80th year. Born at Manchester, Nov. 23, 1888, the deceased was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mrs. Fitchett. She re- ceived her education at Man- chester, Port Perry and was a graduate of the Toronto Normal School. During her teaching career she taught at Thornton's Cor- ners( Myrtle, Raglan, Scugog Island, Enfield, Balsam and Antioch. Mrs. McKenzie had lived in the Columbus area since her marriage. She was a mem- ber of Columbus United Church & the United Church Women and taught in the Columbus Sunday School for many years. Twice married. Mrs. Me- Kenzie was predeceased by her first husband, Frederick George McKenzie, in 1927. She was -married to James McKenzie in 1929. He pre- deceased her in 1942. She is survived hy a daugh- ter, Mrs. Gordon L. Corner To The Ratepayers of the Township of Reach coming term. I would like to take this opportunity to thank those who nominated me and to let you know that I will do my utmost to serve you; in your best interest as Councillor for the (Mayme), R.R. 1, Oshawa; two sons, George of Guelph and Allen of Shawville, Que- bec and three grandchildren. Mrs. McKenzie was pre- deceased by three sons, John, Frederick and David McKen- zie and by two brothers, Ralph Fitchett of Peterbor- ough and Joseph Fitchett of Detroit. The funeral service will be held at the McIntosh-Ander- . son Funeral Home at 2 p.m, Dec. 7th. Interment will be in Oshawa Union Cemetery. The service will be conduct- ed by Rev. Allan Barnes, minister of Columbus United Church, assisted by Rev. R. H. Wylie, a former pastor of% the church. Wins 500Bu.
