Dec. 14-21 Boy Scouts Collect 54 Tons Of Waste Paper During '67 The excellent co-operation of our people in Port Perry and surrounding areas, has this vear resulted in a record volume in excess of 54 tons of waste paper for the local Scout organization, an in- frogs of some 4 tons of 1966 and-8% tons better than in 1965. The largest single drive, in September of this year. netted 14% tons, the total proceeds from which in the amount of $85.00 'were donated to the Hospital Building Campaign. Evervoné who saves their paper for the five drives of the year is thus participating actively in the Scout move- ment, the total returns being used to help finance the or- ganization. The Committee would like to express sincere apprecia- tion to all those who had a part; the homeowners who contributed paper that would otherwise be a complete waste, and the volunteer dri- vers.
