On Wednesday, January 31 the Mustangs journeyed to Uxbridge where they won a real cliffhanger in overtime 43. ; Uxbridge, behind the out- standing goaltending of their netnfinder managed a 30 *- lead over the Mustangs by the end of the second period. With about ten minutes re- maining in the third period the furious Mustangs were not to be denied, and Glen Geer started them on " the right track on a goal assisted by Grant McLaughlin and Ken Irvine. Two minutes lat- er Ron Jeffery made it 3-2 with assists going to Brian " McNab and Roger Moase. With 50 seconds remaining Glen Sweetman -on a solo effort stole. the puck and tied the game 3-3 to force it : '~----into. overtime. When the overtime period _ was about a three minutes old, Ron Jeffery got the winner when a shot from the point by Roger Moase hit him and deflected into the net.
