The first des- tination was Las Vegas, Ne- "vada where the couple en- joyed a three day stay. From here they flew to Hawaii and spent a full week's holiday on this beautiful island. On Sat., Feb. 17th, an ev- ening candle light service was the setting for a very pretty 'wedding at the Port Perry United Church, when the Rev. Alec Rice, united in marriage, Lynda Louise Short and Ronald Robert Menzies. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Don Gray and the groom is the son of Mrs. Archie Menzies and the late Mr. Menzies, all of Port Perry. The bride given in marri- age by her stepfather, look- ed lovely in her gown of A white satin peau de soie, trimmed with mother of pearl sequins. Her headdress was of illusion tulle, gather- ed to a large bow trimmed with mothér of pearl "se- quins. She carried a white Bible with red roses. , The bridesmaid was Miss Dianne Short, sister of the bride. Mr. Gary Menzies, brother of the groom acted "as" best man. The ushers were Alvin Short, brother of the bride and Gregory Men- zies, youngest brother of the groom.
