Rose delivered a fine Easter ser- mon and Communion was ad- ministered. Seventeen ladies and three gentlemen have enjoyed the short course- in Upholstery which has been held in the "High School since January-- finishing Tuesday night. Mr. George Leéal, Port Perry was the instructor. On Fri- day night, April 19th there is to be a showing of their finished products -when we may all have the opportunity of viewing them. This course is sponsored by the Department of Education. We hear several are hoping there will be another simi- lar course 'next winter. A meeting of the Cart- wright Progressive Conser- vative Organization was held | in the Township Hall on Thursday, April 11th. An election of officers was |: sell, trade or swap parts to keep their ancient vehicles on the road. This was the first of its kind in this area and was considered very suc- cessful. It was a beautiful day and many brought their antique cars out of winter storage and drove out to 'Blackstock. Mr. and Mrs. George Pegg have moved from Markham into the home they' purchas- ed from Mr. Bruce Mountjoy last fall. ; A good number of Fergus- on relatives visited at the Northcott ~ Elliott funeral home or attended the fun- eral Thursday of the late Mr. Jim Hannah of Hampton. Miss Lynda Kyte is spend- ing a week's holiday at home. 'She "returns to College in Guelph again next week, when another semester com- mences. Miss Janice Byers has fin- ished her second year at Guelph. Mrs. Roy Avery and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Howe, Till- bury spent: the "week-end with Mrs. J. A. Johnston. Dr. and Mrs. Wayne Mc- Shane, Kingston, spent the week-end with the Bruce Mountjoys. Mr. and Mrs. David Rom- eril and boys, Wawa were week-end guests and Rev. & Mrs. John Romeril and fam- ily, Caqurtice were Monday guests of Rev. and Mrs. Philip Romeril and Dennis.
