Novice - All-Stars Do Well Playing the fifth and de- ciding game the Port Perry boys were ready to go. Being down by one game, our boys had lots of confi- dence of winning this game and forcing a sudden death game in Port Perry. But alas Oak Ridges had the same thing in mind. - First Period: , 14.27 -- Heinzman scored for Oak Ridges. A very good two way game with the goalies being outstanding. Second Period: Miles of skating with Port Perry & Oak Ridges defence turning back any of the op- position coming their way. No scoring. high fly squad. Oak Ridges again scored at 14.05 to make it then impossible for any come back for Port Perry. In - this series with Oak Ridges all spectators were treated to the finest hockey and sportsmanship that has been seen in many a day. The Port Perry Novice All Stars went down in defeat as a team with many a misty eye. But being perfect gentlemen all the way it was an honour to be associated with the Tripp Novice All Stars. On-behalf of all the play- ers, The Coaches, Meredith McKee and Garry Geer, Man- ager Ross Sweetman we would like to thank the many who through the past hockey season made . more athletes and - many more sportsmen who were there to say: "Come On Port Perry!"
