S70 WALES DLA ASAIN Four Cubs of the 1st Scugog Pack at a family night recently earned their 5th Star Glen Heayn, Hodgins. --From left to right they are: Tom Olsen, Scouts And Cubs Enjoy Family Night - The Ist Scugog Scout and Cub Family Night was held Friday evening, April 19th at Manchester Hall. Parents and boys were wel- comed by Cub Master Frank Fielding and Group Com- mittee chairman. ~The program commenced with a Cub Investiture. A going up ceremony followed when 2 cubs were invested into Scouts. Ten Proficiency Badges were presented to 6 Wolf Cubs. Some 66 badges were presented to the Cubs, all these had been earned since the Father & Son banquet on February 7th. The Scouts were not to be outdone they had also work- ed hard and 30 Proficiency Badges were presented at Kevin Williams and Kevin this time. Two boys receiv- ed their 1st class Scout Badge. '2A All Round Cords, 1B All Round Cord. The Group Committee pre- sented Mr. Les Smith with a plaque thanking him for his help to the 1st Scugog Scout organization oven the past 10 years. Mr. Harris explained that the O.W.R.C. will own the sewers---and- the Village of Port Perry will pay a rent each year based on cost and that the Village will be res- ponsible for the policing of the sewers, that is to control the discharge into the sew- ers, such as material that clogs the works or water from the storm sewer etc. It was decided at the meet- ing that the sewer line on Scugog Street from Simcoe to Maple be deleted and that the sewer line be extended on Scugog Street to 500 feet east of Water Street.
