Mrs. Patterson, president, greeted the members, re marking on the large num- ber present; and welcomed the one visitor. She thanked the members for the plant presented to her on her , eighty-second birthday. The Lord's Prayer in uni- son opened the meeting. The minutes of the April meeting were read by the secretary, Mrs. Cornish, and approved as was, also, the treasurer's report. Mrs. In- nis called the roll which showed twenty-six present. The next meeting, June 12, will be the last until the Autumn. It will be held in the Presbyterian Church Hall where there will be room for exhibits of rugs and a vari- * ety of handicrafts made by the members. The Lakeview Handicrafts Guild of Oshawa have accepted the invitation to visit here and will bring a display of their work.
