Kerry were supper guests on Sun- day with Mr. Ruby Rodgers. 25th Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Al Christie entertained at a family din- ner party June 30th in hon- our of her brother Gordon and his wife Beryl Martin of Bowmanville, . The table was lovely graced with. flowers, silver candles and candelabra and a Torte Anniversary Cake. 'After reminiscing and .ex- change of best wishes, the bride and bridegroom 'read the many cards and letters they had received _from friends and relatives. They were presented with a lovely pole lamp from the family. Beryl and Gordon graciously thanked those who had made this such a mem- orable anniversary. Church was the setting for the wed- ding of Miss Bonnie Frances Wallace and Mrs. Paul Doug- las Myles last Saturday. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. W. Ross Wallace of Port Perry -and the bride- groom is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd P. Myles of Brantford, Ontario. The Reverend Alec G. Rice, assisted by the. Reverend Jack Griffen officiated at the ceremony. Mr. Robert Glaves, a friend of the bridegroom, was the soloist, accompanied by Mr. Russell Rowan at the organ. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, fore a full-length empire "A"-line gown of silk peau fashioned with long sleeves, fastened with tiny silk but- tons. Guipure lace appli- ques adorned the scoop neck, empire waist and front of the "A" shape skirt. A full length detachable train fell from the shoulders. It was edged with matching guipure appliques. Her headdress, consisting of rose petals ad- orned with rose appliques, seed pearls and crystal held a shoulder - length veil of tulle. She carried a bouquet of pink roses with stephan- otis. Miss Margaret Terrett, friend of the bride, acted as maid of honour and Mrs. Bill Graham, sister of the bride, Wed In Port Perry United was the matron of honour. Also attending the bride were Mrs. Bill Robb, sister of the groom and Miss Bar- 'bara.Wallace,-friend-of -the bride. Miss Janie Wallace, niece of the bride acted as flower girl. All the girls, including the little flower full length gowns of precious pink. The gowns featuring a bell-shaped skirt, with a flowing back panel accented by a bodice of matching re. embroidered French Val lace, were made of tissue faille over imported georgette. Mr. Bill Rannie, friend of the groom, acted as best man with Mr. Ronald Wallace, Mr. Bill Robb and Mr. Hugh Goodwillie ushering. A reception was held at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall in Port: Perry. The bride's mother received the guests, wearing an aqua mist - shantung dress and matching % coat and accessories. The groom's mother assisted, wearing a pastel mint green silk shantung dress and mat- ching jacket and accessories. For a honeymoon to Maine and the Maritime provinces, the bride wore a pink dress of Italian imported peau de grenadine with a matching jacket and black accessories.
