Among the new teachers' nanfes we see the familiar name of Tristram. 'Mr. Tre- vor Tristram from Toronto will be holding forth at Port Perry school and his bride is .slated for Greenbank. " They are living in the Tripp apartment house so can keep an eye on grandpa and grandma Eagleson, or per- haps it will be the other way around. Taking a fling on the last week of vacation was Eliza- beth Nodwell who flew to Connecticut Aug. 26 for a week with her cousin Mrs. Ivory. Meanwhile Mrs. Fran- ces Lowry of Lexington, Ken- tucky is keeping her sister Mrs. Nodwell from getting lonely. Another traveller is Mrs. Dennis Tobin who took off by air for England on Sat. She will be visiting an Eng- lish girl friend. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Bright were on a bus trip over the week-end to Wheeling, West Virginia for the Grand Ole Opry. A little less ventursome were Mr. and Mrs. Chas. ~ Short, Bonnie and Billy who visited relatives in Carrying Place on- Thurs. Mrs. Clem- ents went along for the ride. Sunday. Visitors with the B. Wanamakers-this week wet Mrs. Nellie Rattenbury and son Mr. Stanley Rattenbury who surely picked a good time to be away from 'their home in Chicago. They call- ed on other relatives in the vicinity too. Cousins Mr. & Mrs. Gordon Mark of Tor- onto visited there on Wed. and on Sunday Miss Louie King and friend of Toronto paid their annual visit. Week-nd visitors with Mr, and Mrs. Roy Scott were Mr. and Mrs. Doug Rutherford of New Liskeard. Roy and Mr. Rutherford were army buddies during world war I having enlisted together and seen service together.. Now they visit together, Misses Cheryl and Sheila Carr of Coboconk spent last week with their cousins Ca- thie and Karen Carr of the village. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Williams and Twin daughters of God- erich arrived at the Moons on Saturday to collect the other three children in time for sthool. Carol Anne and Mark Stur- man have been entertaining two little cousins --- Brian Rowan of Bethany and Jean- ette Sturman of Raglan. Mr. Bill Morley and Miss Jean Perrin of Newcastle with 2 cousins from is from Put, L. News N.Y. paid a short visit to Mrs. Clements on Wed. after- noon. * Again we find ourselves offering sympathy to the MacTaggart family because of the death of Mr. Wm. MacTaggart of Little Britain. Our hospital patients are doing well. Both Mr. Bill Clarke and Det. Dennis To- bin' are much better and ex- pect to be released from hospital quite soon. House building is the thing here now.
