OBITUARY VIOLET GORDON WALKER At the Winnipeg General Hospital on Tuesday, Septem- ber '24, 1968, Violet Gordon Walker, formerly of the Al- calde Apts., Dorchester Ave. Mrs. Walker was predeceased by. her -husband the late Ed- ward Blake Walker in 1910. She was born in Stratford, Ontario and spent a good deal 'of her life in the east, as her husband was with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, they moved to Winnipeg in 1932. She is mourned by her four child- ren; Alec of Ft. William, Butler of Toronto, Mary(Mrs. George H. Ryan) and Thomas of Winnipeg, eleven grand- children and one great-grand- child. Funeral service was held in St. George's Anglican Church, Wilton at Grosvenor, Thursday, September 26 at 3 p.m,, the Rev. William Duff officiating, intement follow- ed in the family plot, St. John's- Cathedral Cemetery. Irvine, of Port Perry. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Gibson of Greenbank. ~ Officiating at the double ring ceremony was the Rev- erend Alec Rice. The soloist Miss Debbie Griffen was ac- companied by Mrs. Donald Forder at the organ. . Given in marriage by her brother Mr. Winston Irvine, and her mother, the bride wore a full length gown of white embroidered organdy with cap sleeves and portrait neckliné. Her headpiece, a single satin rose surrounded by lily of the valley held her shoulder length veil of nylon tulle, and she carried a cas- cade of red sweetheart roses. Miss Shay Gray, maid of lace over satin and carried a bouquet of green baby mums.
