Collector's club has been formed by a small but dedicated group of students under the direction of President Ray Collins and Interest centres on coins and stamps, but the club boasts one rock collector and is hopeful that eventually the scope of its activities will be enlarged. The 'special project of the stamp section under chairman Gary Geer and of the coin section under chairman Jayson Madsen, is to establish a stamp _and coin collection, which property of the school and| permanenty- be available for inspection by any interested groups or individuals in the community at large. The club will specialize in only Canadian stamps and coins although the stamp group at a future date embark on a small number of topical collections such as "Stamps with flowers", or 'Stamps with national flags" from all over. the world. The members of the club would like to appeal to readers of the Star to assist them in -this undertaking. If you or one of your children perhaps, long ago made a small coin or stamp collection which now sits collecting dust in some remote corner, would you contribute it to the school club to help it establish a basic collection to which additions could be made gradually in the future? |- The club will show its grat- itude for such donations by prefacing its collections with a permanent listing of all those citizens who helped make the collection successful. If you can contribute, please call the High School 985-7337 at any time during the day. A member of the club- will pick.up your cont- ribution.
