Mr. Ralph Lyle and mother-in-law Mrs. Scarborough both of Toronto. Speedy recovery is wished Mrs. Ralph Lyle who is and- has been a patient in hospital since September. Handicra The November meeting of the Louise Patterson Handi- craft Guild was held at the home of Mrs. Martyn, Prince Albert, with twenty - two members 'and one visitor present, The President, Mrs. Naples, welcomed thosespresent and opened the meeting with the Lord's Prayer. The minutes of the last meeting were 'read by the Secretary, Mrs. Cornish, and approved. The financial report was given by Mrs. Innis, Treas- | urer. Mrs. Rapies shared excerpts from a letter she received from Mrs. Patterson who still misses her pupils and friends in Port Perry. She has finished her beautiful large rug which now adorns the floor of her living-room. The eight members who visited the Lakeview. Guild in Oshawa on October 21, report a very enjoyable evening. The displays of crafts were much admired, especially the rafia-pine needle articles made Il by Mrs. Wipper of Port Perry. The Christmas meeting will be held in Prince Albert Hall - the old school - on December 11. There will be a display of the many handicrafts and a sale. ft Guild The meeting was turned over to the Programme Comm- ittee who called upon Mrs. Smith to demonstrate her talent for -using/ driftwood, dried and treated leaves, seed- pods, flowers and weeds, in decorative arrangements, Mrs. Smith had brought a very interesting piece as an incen- tive and soon many were at work with their material and,' under her supervision, created sxeiting Plecss to grace their homes.
