Born in Norwich, England. he came to Canada with his parents in 1913 and settled in and near Saintfield. In 1936 and in 1942 they moved to Brock Township where they farmed until his death. Mr. Faux was an active member of Wick Presbyter- jan Church, a member of King Edward Lodge Sunder- land, and was keenly inter- ested in community affairs. To mourn the loss of a loving husband, father, and grandfather: his wife, two daughters, Isabel (Mrs. Geo. Lee, Port Perry) and Lois (Mrs. Glenn Noble, Kitimat, and two grandchildren, Mark Also sur- viving are two sisters of Toronto, Marjorie (Mrs. A. Adamson). Mr. Adamson from Toronto pointed out the changes re- quired by the Community Planning Branch of the De- partment of Municipal Af- fairs, the main objective be- ing to eliminate future per- manent residences in the Lakeshore area, except by the procedure of rezoning as deemed desirable. It was decided that amend- ments be drafted for presen- tation to the Planning Board and Council. A Resolution passed at .a later meeting of the Planning Bd. was for- warded to the Council as fol- lows: "That Amendment #2 to the Official Plan of Scugog Planning Area not be passed at this time". On Oct. 10th the Counril met with the Public School Board to arrange for changes in the Public School bus route and a tentative route was set up. This was later approved with a slight change to be that the bus would now go to the end of Con. 9E, the end of Con. 10E, the end of Con. 12E-and to corner of Lakeside Rd. and Platten Avenue (near G. Freeman Sr. residence. The petition for the Inter- Council News im Subsidy was submitted & a resolution passed to send it in to the . of, High- ways -- the total amount of Expenditures, Jan. 1968 to Sept. 30, '68 being $22,656:18. A resolution was passed appointing: V, Aldred to re- present 'the Twp. of Scugog at a meeting to be held in Lindsay on Nov. 5th, 1968 re Conservation Authority.
