Mr. Gimblett, who for the past three years has lived at 61 Cassels Rd. E., Brooklin had been in failing health for some time. Born Feb. 5, 1903 in Darlington Township, he was a son of the late Thomas and Ellen Gimblett. He married the former Olive Brock on Feb. 10, .1923 at Brooklin United Church. ) "He farmed in the Columbus area for about 36 years. Also in 1932 he opened Gimblett's Dairy in Oshawa which he sold out 10 years later to Ideal Dairy. He was an adherent of Brooklim United Church, a member of Beethoven Lodge IOOF, Brooklin and a member of the Brooklin Shuffleboard | Club. Besides his wife, he is sur- vived by three daughters, Mrs. Frank Simpson (Margaret), and Mrs. John Medland (Jean) both of Brooklin and Mrs. George Gilroy (Helen) of Oshawa; one son, Raymond; one sister Mrs. Ernest Burrus (Ellen) of Oshawa; two broth- ers, Russell of Maple Grove and Carl of Bowmanville; 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
